Dr. Annise Mabry is an award-winning educator, bestselling author, and nonprofit leader, and the Board of Directors is looking for an Executive Assistant to support her growing impact in education, community development, and nonprofit leadership.

About the Role

Are you a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive professional with a passion for nonprofit management, education, and social impact?

As the Executive Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting Dr. Annise Mabry by managing her calendar, coordinating programs, and ensuring seamless operations for our foundation. This hybrid role requires a Georgia-based candidate who can work remotely but is available for occasional in-person meetings, community events, and conferences in Rockdale County and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Executive Support

✅ Manage Dr. Mabry’s complex calendar (meetings, speaking engagements, events, and travel).
✅ Handle email and phone communications with stakeholders, partners, and donors.
✅ Prepare reports, presentations, and documents for grants, funding proposals, and nonprofit initiatives.
✅ Coordinate virtual and in-person meetings, ensuring follow-ups are tracked.
✅ Assist in event planning for graduation ceremonies, nonprofit conferences, book tours, and community projects.

Project & Program Coordination

✅ Oversee logistics for The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation’s programs, including the Rural Communities Diploma Program and Barista Source Academy.
✅ Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts.
✅ Track deliverables for grants, funding applications, and partnership initiatives.
✅ Manage databases and records for students, donors, and nonprofit partners.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

✅ Act as a liaison between Dr. Mabry and government agencies, school districts, corporate partners, and law enforcement.
✅ Draft press releases, speeches, and funding proposals.
✅ Ensure timely and professional communication with key community stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • Independent Executive Services Provider – You operate your own administrative executive services firm and are available for 1099 contract work. You enjoy the flexibility of independent work and are comfortable supporting high-level leaders in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Highly Organized & Detail-Oriented – You excel at keeping projects on track and meeting deadlines.
  • Proactive & Resourceful – You take initiative to solve problems without needing constant direction.
  • Tech-Savvy – You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, project management tools (Asana/Trello), and CRM systems.
  • Excellent Communicator – You write and speak clearly, with the ability to draft professional emails, reports, and presentations.
  • Passionate About Education & Nonprofit Work – You believe in equity in education and want to support a leader making real change.

Qualifications

✅ Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant (preferably in nonprofit management, education, or government).
✅ Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Education, or related field).
✅ Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or donor relations is a plus.
✅ Must be based in Georgia, with availability to travel to Rockdale County when needed.
✅ Familiarity with homeschool education, law enforcement partnerships, or community programs is a bonus.
